You can join Wayne Westland Federal Credit Union if you live, work (or regularly conduct business in), worship, attend school, perform volunteer services, participate in associations headquartered in, participate in programs to relieve poverty or distress which are located in, or incorporated or unincorporated organizations located in or maintaining a facility in Wayne County, Michigan.
If you’re eligible to join WWFCU, you’ll need a minimum of $5 to open a savings account and at least $25 to open a checking account. You’ll also need to pay a $2 membership fee which goes toward the nonprofits Wayne Main Street and Community Social Services of Wayne County. You’ll also need the following:
- A valid state ID or driver’s license with your correct address on it – or a valid passport
- One of the following: birth certificate, credit/debit card with your name on it, voter’s registration card, work/school ID or a passport (if not using it as your first form of ID)
- Your social security number
